Volunteers needed for two new Northside events in 2026!

Iowa City Poetry Alfresco is planning a series of poetry readings in Northside locales on Saturday, April 24. Organizers are seeking Northside residents who are willing to host a 20-minute reading, whether on a front porch, back patio, or area facing a back alley. Interested hosts are invited to write organizer David Duer at dduer72@gmail.com and organizer Lisa Roberts at iowacitypoetry@gmail.com.

And on Sunday, May 31, organizers of the inaugural Northside Neighbors Music Festival are looking for venue hosts as well as local musicians. If you’d like to help out, take the brief survey at this link and they’ll get back to you.

Spring and summer on the Northside promise to be an artful time for all!

Our Northside Neighbor-to-Neighbor Resource Guide is here!

It’s the first item on the drop-down menu on our NNA Resources page. Contact us at info@northsideiowacity.org if you need the password. If you’d to add your service(s) to the the Guide, take our survey via the button below.

The NNA is an all-volunteer organization. We don’t collect dues, but we welcome contributions to help support our work, website, newsletter, and other initiatives. Venmo works great: Find us at @Northside-IowaCity or search for Northside Neighborhood. Thank you!
